They are made by women from the farming community of Chinchero in the high mountains of Cusco using ancestral techniques that express Andean culture and worldview. Every detail reflects the daily life of the mountains — their colors, animals, lagoons, and more. The poncho is dyed with natural products such as cochineal, lemon, coca leaf, and more.
